Welcome to Hospice Greater Moncton

It’s something we never like to think about but at some time and in some way we must face it, the end of life. Hospice Greater Moncton’s goal is to help those facing death and grief feel supported, safe, comfortable and cared for.

What is Hospice?

The word ‘hospice’ is often used in different ways: it can mean a location, a special health facility, but in many instances it refers to a service. The modern-day hospice movement came about in the 1960's by Dame Cicily Saunders, a British physician, who came to believe ‘We do not have to cure to heal’
